Bloom’s Taxonomy

  Bloom’s Taxonomy In 1956, Dr. Benjamin Samuel Bloom, along with Max Eagleheart, Edward F u rst, Walter Hill, and David Krathwohl , published a framework for categorizing educational goals. This framework is titled Taxonomy of Educational Objectives , also known as Bloom’s Taxonomy . Bloom’s Taxonomy is an a   cumulative  and hierarchical system for describing, classifying, and organizing learning objectives . It is hierarchical in nature, meaning that the objectives in the taxonomy are grouped by level or rank. Dr. Bloom and his associates categorized objectives into three domains: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Cognitive  Domain:  Cognitive domain involves behaviors related to intellectual development. Intellectual development is possible only when we possess or store knowledge and by processing and manipulating information.   Issues and Challenges of Elementary Education in India The various concerns regarding educational issues ,particularly concerns about elementary education obtained out from the recommendations of the commissions and the national policies include: Enrollment and Access to Schools ·  Low Enrollment Rates : Despite efforts to increase enrollment, many children, especially those in rural or remote areas, remain out of school due to inadequate access and lack of transportation.
