  Teacher Competencies as ldentified by NCTE   The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has identified ten core competencies essential for teachers to become professionally competent. These competencies are outlined below: 1. Contextual Competencies: One of the primary responsibilities of a teacher is to ensure that the parents and community appreciate the value of their work.
