 The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Kerala, is an autonomous organization under the Department of General Education, Government of Kerala. Established in 1994.

 SCERT functions as a pivotal body for academic matters related to school education from pre-primary to higher secondary levels. Modeled after the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), SCERT aims to enhance the quality of education in the state through various initiatives in curriculum development, teacher training, and educational research.

 Objectives of SCERT

The primary objectives of SCERT include:

Curriculum Development: To formulate and revise the curriculum for school education in alignment with national educational policies and local needs.

  Mastery Learning Mastery learning  is an instructional approach designed to ensure that all students achieve a level of mastery in the subjects being taught.
