Education is a purposeful process that aims to bring about desired changes in human behaviour, knowledge, skills, and attitudes. To make this process meaningful, education must have clear aims and objectives which act as guiding principles for teaching and learning.
Definition of Aim

According to John Dewey, “An aim is a foreseen end that gives direction to an activity or motivates behaviour.”

Objectives are the specific, short-term, and measurable outcomes that help in achieving the broader aims of education. They indicate what learners should know, feel, or be able to do after instruction.
Relationship between Aims and Objectives
